I spent practically the whole day watching the first season of Corner Gas. I really like it, and I thought that as long as I was unemployed, I should try to relax, if I could remember how to do that.
And when I finished watching that, the new Strong Bad Email had come out. It was also quite funny, but my funny sense was a little burnt out by that point.
Then I played some more Pokemon. I have an anecdote! Okay, so I got to the point where I could go into the TV station, so I did. I spoke to a camera man, who asked me some nonsensical question. I answered yes, and he randomly attacked me. How I was I supposed to know he was asking for a challenge? And he had a level 17 Pachirisu, a Pokemon I'd never seen before. I asked my sister what it was, and she identified it as a gay squirrel thing, which wasn't very helpful because I needed to know what type it was.
My newly evolved Princelup, which is a water Pokemon, was my strongest Pokemon at level 16, so I switched to it. And that's how I found out that Pachirisu is an electric type. I beat it without losing any Pokemon, mainly due to the part where it used Spark on my Abra, reduced it to one hit point, paralysed it, then got paralysed itself due to Abra being weird. If my Geodude had been one level higher and known Magnitude, the fight would've been a lot easier.
So anyway, even in a video game, who stands in a building, babbles about how stunning passing trainers are, and then throws electric squirrels at them? Especially electric squirrels that are quite high level for this point in the game? Pokemon is weird.

I've found that surfing the internet while leveling up in an RPG makes the level grinding a lot less dull. [/obvious] I'm going to try it while watching Corner Gas tomorrow, probably.
Thanks, Internet, I was having trouble with that. But how are you supposed to be confident when you have no idea what you're doing? Lately I can't even comment online easily without writing out what I want to say in Notepad and pasting it into the form.
I can't believe it's still Monday. It feels like Wednesday at least. Time is really weird.
Why is it getting hotter again? Summer needs to hurry up and finish.

I bought Pokemon Pearl yesterday. I'm going to use the same strategy that I used for Crystal, which is to have six Pokemon to train intensively, and ignore the rest. But as I've never played this game before, I'm not sure which six would work. A typical Crystal team, by the way, which varied depending on the choice of starter, was: Typhlosion, Graveller, Togetic, Machoke, Gyarados, and Magnemite.
I'm not very far into Pearl, and so far the Pokemon I want to keep are Piplup and Shinx. I've been talking to my sister, and reading a guide, and I think I'll also get Abra and Geodude. So now I need to find something good that can learn Fly, and maybe a Ghost or Dark Pokemon. Or Fighting. I don't know. Are there any Fighting/Flying Pokemon? Because that'd be awesome.
