And mwagen thinks I should go to ROFLCon, but for some reason my parents don't want me to spend all my money on plane tickets. I wonder why that is.

I just found out that Terry Pratchett has been diagnosed with some sort of early onset Alzheimer's Disease. To quote one of the members of the Godawful Fanfiction forums, which is where I found this out:( Cut for profanity )

Why did that have to happen to Terry Pratchett? He's awesome. I was obsessed with his books, and not just Discworld, for a whole year. And for me, that's a very long time. He is a genius.

My mother was just telling me about how she went to see her mother, who has dementia, and she didn't recognise her. She never does anymore. It's horrible and depressing. :(

Why don't I have a Discworld icon?
