So I just found this comm,
fandom_memes, and there are so many memes I want to do, as I love fandom. But for now, I'll just do these two. When I could be outside doing something else. It's too hot for that.
( Fandoms as lovers )
( Fanfiction of 2006 meme )
And
mwagen thinks I should go to ROFLCon, but for some reason my parents don't want me to spend all my money on plane tickets. I wonder why that is.
Now, allow me to tag this entry with every fandom I mentioned in the multifandom meme, that I already have a tag for.

Dreams: A couple of nights ago, I dreamed that there were catastrophic floods so bad that they passed mountain ranges. At one point I was at the beach one second, and the mountains the next. The next morning, I found a story about bad storms on the east coast in the newspaper. I hadn't heard about that before, so I was pretty surprised.
Nostalgia: This morning I got up early (for me), and started feeling nostalgic for 2001, when I was twelve and in year seven. Even though I was being bullied really badly then, and had no friends, and the work wasn't that enjoyable either. I think I just missed the atmosphere, but I miss every atmosphere, including the one where I was watching South Park all the time to try and forget about how horribly depressed I was.
More dreams: Last night I dreamed I was watching episode 313 of Avatar: The Last Airbender. Despite the lack of firebending, and, I think, main characters, I didn't realise that it wasn't actually that episode until after it finished. It was really episode 311, which is nothing like the episode in my dream at all.
Overreacting over fanfiction: This complaint about Strong Sad's characterisation in Homestar Runner fanfiction ran a bit long, so I'll put it in its own entry.
LJ: I think I really needed a comm like
capslock_hsr to exist.
Cognitive dissonance: Yesterday I spent most of the day reading about and watching subbed anime. Then I started to watch a movie, and was actually confused for a few seconds that they were speaking perfect English.
Mood theme: I really need to finish this mood theme.

My brother summed up the climax of the Avatar episode "Avatar Roku":
( What? He scheduled something on the same day as the solstice? )
And all the Homestar Runner subtitles have been DONE! Finished! Completed! I'd continue with that theme, but I'm too lazy to look for a thesarus!

I have a name for Aang now. Captain Planet! You know, because of the Earth/Fire/Air/Water/Heart, thing.
Avatar Aang
He's our hero
Gonna take the 100 Years War down to zero!
He's a bender magnified
And I'm really bad at parodies!
...Anyway, Aang is Captain Planet now. And if they ever need an anti-Avatar, all the bad guys need to do is find a radioactivitybender, a deforestationbender, a hatebender... No, I don't know how that would work.

The best line that came from watching the second episode of Avatar with my little brother: "This does not look good for Jack Spicer."
Because we decided to name Prince Zuko Jack Spicer, because I know how to spell that, and then Aang got away and dropped an iceberg on his ship. And I'm gonna call Sokka Rameses from now on, even though I don't know when to stop spelling that. The other characters I'll have to think on. Aang looks a little like Omi, but I already used up my Xiolin Showdown reference.

After complaining that I couldn't watch Avatar on
fanficrants somewhere, I found a site where I could watch it, so I watched the first episode. I like it. It's pretty good. A few things I thought:
Aang is not dressed for the South Pole. Not at all. I'm surprised he hasn't frozen to death yet. But I guess being in that iceberg for 100 years didn't kill him, so why not?
Sokka really reminds me of Rameses from The Prince Of Egypt. I thought maybe they were voiced by the same people until I looked at their Wikipedia page. Rameses when he was all "Yaaaaay! Destructive chariot race time! ...This is all your fault, Moses," not when he was all "Yaaaaay! Let's kill all the Israelites! ...You suck, Moses," I mean.
Does Prince Zuko have a burn on his face? That's pretty cool.
I've always loved the concept of a bunch of people having specific elemental powers. And I haven't seen it done with this much emphasis on the actual elements since Captain Planet. And these characters look like they're going to use their powers for something more than saving the environment. Though the Fire Nation do look like big polluty meanies.
